New Paperless Agenda

The Citrus County School Board unveiled a new state-of-the-art document management system called BoardDocs during this morning’s School Board workshop.  It's a web-based system that allows board members to publish and revise board meeting agenda items and update policies and procedures.

BoardDocs is an online, paperless system that allows meetings to be more productive and seamless.  The program saves time and resources and provides unprecedented public access to agenda items.

The Citrus County School Board approved the move to the new software in April, was trained in May, and publicly tested the software for the first time during today’s workshop.

The Board is excited for this software upgrade because it will make it easier for the public to access information prior to the meetings and afterward if they need to go back and see something they might have missed.  "This is definitely going to help us be more efficient," says CCSB Chairman Thomas Kennedy. "It will not only save the district some money, but it allows us to go green without holding onto paperwork, and helps the audience that comes to the board meetings see a lot of what we're doing in real-time."

The new school board management features can be accessed by visiting the District’s homepage at www.citrusschools.org and clicking on the red button labeled “Board Members and Meetings” under the main picture.
