The Citrus County School District has been recognized by the Florida Department of Education for 2018-2020 as a Florida Healthy School District, which are districts that have made a high level commitment to meeting the health needs of students and staff in order to remove barriers to learning and maximize district resources.

Mental and Emotional Health, Substance Use and Abuse, and Child Trafficking Education

Per State Board of Education Rule, school districts must annually submit a plan documenting how instruction in Mental and Emotional Health Education, Substance Use and Abuse Health Education, and Child Trafficking Education will be delivered to students. Stakeholders have access to the district plan on the Florida Department of Education Required Instruction Reporting Portal.
