I am excited and honored to be the Principal of Inverness Middle School. As we begin the 2011-2012 school year, we will build upon our past successes and continue to move student achievement forward. We clearly have so many significant accomplishments in which we can take great pride. Prior to my appointment to IMS, I was the Principal at Citrus Springs Elementary School for five years. I also served as the Assistant Principal and Curriculum Specialist at Inverness Primary School. In addition, I have been a classroom teacher in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our theme this school year is "LIteracy and Beyond!" Here's to US, IMS TEAM, as we join together to continue to focus on INDIVIDUAL LEARNING GAINS in all academic areas for all our students!

I am very excited to be part of Inverness Middle School as the assistant principal. I will be the 7th grade adminstrator this year. My name is Joe Susi and I will be the 8th grade Administrator this school year. I worked with this class from 6th grade and I am looking forward to another great year with this class as they enter 8th grade. Some of my other school- wide responsibilities include student schedules, staff schedules, attendance issues as well as interscholastic athletics. I have over 25 years experience in education and if you have any questions or concerns involving 8th grade issues or the other areas that I mentioned, please give me a call. I am looking forward to working with you and your children this coming school year.
