Halo: Ghosts of Onyx is an action-packed adventure story based on the Halo series game series. This book takes place about 500 years in the future. In the story, a super soldier or Spartan is transferred to a top secret division of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). ONI is in charge of protecting Earth and the human colonies that are established throughout space. The transferred Spartan is then used to train more Spartans and get them ready for combat.
These newest Spartans are young and agile. What they don’t know though was that with the destruction of the first Halo ring, ancient machinery was awakened on Onyx. This ancient machinery poses a threat to these Spartans and they have to try to escape them.
I found Halo: Ghosts of Onyx very enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone that likes an action-packed and adventure filled science fiction story.
