Welcome to Lecanto's Army JROTC page!
The JROTC Program is both an elective class and a club that participates in numerous extra-curricular activities including Drill Team, Color Guard, & Rifle Team. These teams compete in various competitions against other schools throughout the State. In addition to the competitions, the Cadets participate in numerous community and school events such as parking cars at all home football games, presenting the colors at numerous school events, and marching in parades in the surrounding communities. A very popular event is the students teach students program where selected Cadets present an anti-tobacco program to 5th graders in the district primary schools. ROTC also has a week long summer camp in June each year. Cadets compete for the limited spaces based on their physical fitness, overall school grades, as well as their performance throughout the year.
