We are currently seeking qualified applicants (please see the job description posted on our website) for the position of Assistant Principal of Hernando Elementary. Preliminary screening of all applications received for this position will be conducted at the end of the posting period. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Master’s Degree or higher.

·         Certification in educational leadership or equivalent.

·         Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience.

Each applicant must submit the following prior to close of the posting period:

·         Letter of Intent – Submit a one page letter (no smaller than 11 point font) expressing your educational philosophy and why you should be selected for the position. Administrative Application – Complete a Citrus County Administrative Application (with 3 professional references.) A new application must be completed each fiscal school year.Assistant Principal Profile – Complete Assistant Principal Profile. A copy may be obtained from the Human Resources Department or the Citrus County Web Site: www.citrus.k12.fl.us/departments/personnel/jobapplications.htm          Copy of your current certification - Must have Educational Leadership or equivalent on certificate.Copy of your transcript(s)Veteran’s Preference documentation (if applicable)

The screening committee will select the most qualified applicants by reviewing the letter of intent, the current application, and the Assistant Principal Profile.  Veterans with proper documentation will receive additional points during the screening process.
