SOCIAL STUDIES

Fourth Grade utilizes a weekly reader for our curriculum. 
 

 It is published by American Legacy Publishing and consists of 24 weekly 'newspaper' type readers.

Please use the links to learn more about each weeks theme.

 The readers are then supplemented with additional units, themes, and activities throughout the school year focusing on 5 powerful ideas, which

Barbara Cairns is a local author who has written CRACKER COW, A Narrative of Florida History, which meets several of the Social Studies Standards for 4th grade. You may read reviews of her book at the website below.
