Special Event Spotlight

Citrus County Schools was proud to host the ππΆπΏππ π―π¬ π¦π²π°πΌπ»π±π π£πΏπΌπ·π²π°π for an engaging and powerful session tailored specifically for the
Citrus High School football team as they kicked off their Spring football training on Monday!

Past Rotary District Governor, Eloy Nunez led this impactful program which helps students learn how to navigate interactions with law enforcement safely and respectfully during routine traffic stopsβusing real-life scenarios and expert guidance.
Our very own Citrus Schools Police Chief Rachel Montgomery took part in a live demonstration, acting out a mock traffic stop with some of our student-athletes to model positive communication and smart decision-making.

We were also honored to welcome retired Green Bay Packers player and certified trainer Kenny Stills Sr., along with Coach Eric Douglas from the Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel, and a group of local Rotarians who observed and supported the session.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for bringing this valuable learning experience to our students, and for continuing to strengthen the relationship between our school district and local Rotary Clubs.
