Guardians swearing in
Citrus County School Board members welcomed two more guardians during today's school board special meeting and workshop.
Chief Buddy Grant introduced both guardians to board members reading both of their impressive resumes.
Superintendent of Schools Sandra “Sam” Himmel followed by swearing in both guardians. School board members then praised each for their experience in policing and social work and the impact they have on our students and school security.
Charlie Cunningham joins our team with 21 years of experience from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and the Danbury Police Department. Charlie holds an AA degree from Ashland University and has 4 children who attend school within our district.
Ruben Rivera is an active member of the Florida Army National Guard. Ruben also holds a degree in social work and psychology from the University of Puerto Rico.
Welcome aboard! We know our schools will welcome you both with open arms!
