MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH:
Due to the instructional time lost from the recent hurricanes, we will be making up the following days:
Monday, October 21st., Monday, November 11th, and December 20th will now be a full instructional day.
We recognize that October 21st was originally scheduled as Fall Break, and November 11th is Veteran’s Day. However, we must meet the state’s instructional hour requirements for the year. Please know that we deeply value our veterans, and we plan to honor them in meaningful ways in our schools on November 11th.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11TH UPDATE:
We are happy to report that both Crystal River Primary School and Crystal River Middle School campuses will be fully open on Monday, October 14th. Both Principals are sending out messages to their school families reminding them classrooms will not look the same as when they left school before Helene. While things may appear different, classrooms at both schools are safe and ready for students and staff. There is still much to do at both schools, but admin teams have developed plans to utilize open classrooms and other available spaces throughout their campuses to make sure students are engaged in learning.
We want to thank all our administrators, teachers and staff for their support and patience as we navigated these past two weeks. BIG THANKS to Lecanto Primary School and Crystal River High School for opening their doors and quickly figuring out plans for a temporary relocation for neighboring students and teachers on their campuses.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work from several of our district and school site teams:
CODE COMPLIANCE TEAM
RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM
MAINTENANCE TEAMS
TRANSPORTATION TEAMS
FOOD SERVICES TEAM
SAFETY AND SECURITY TEAM
TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES TEAM
HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM
FINANCE TEAM
ED SERVICES TEAM
We know both the Bear cubs and Bearcats are eager to get back to their campuses!
