Drug Test Process
Citrus County Schools is a Drug Free Workplace and requires all individuals hired by Citrus County Schools to be free of alcohol and controlled substances. Employees must submit to a pre-employment drug test (reference to school board policy 6.17).

Employees are responsible for paying the drug test fees of $32.25 (non-refundable fees).

The procedures for drug testing are as follows:
1. Employees shall report to the Department of Human Resources for new employee processing and workplace screening as scheduled by departmental personnel.

2. Payment is made by money order only and made payable to Citrus County School Board (CCSB). No credit cards or cash will be accepted.

3. An applicant's refusal to submit to the pre-employment drug test screening shall constitute a basis for rescinding the offer of employment.

4. Any individual who tests positive will be considered not qualified for employment with the School District and will not be eligible for employment for one (1) year from the date of the test.
