Meeting 1 – 9/28/2023

The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on September 28, 2023 to review the procedures for textbook adoption with the 2023/2024 Social Studies Adoption Review Committee. 

The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461.  The Secondary Committee (grades 6-12) will meet from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and the Elementary Committee (grades K-5) will meet from Noon - 3:00 PM.

This meeting will be training for reviewers on the purpose of the adoption process, the expectation of reviewers for this process, and direction on how to use the evaluation tool.

The public is welcome to observe the committee training.

Meeting 2 – 10/31/2023

The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on October 31, 2023, to review Social Studies Curriculum for Elementary School (Grades K-5) adoption. 

The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461 from 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM.

The public is welcome to observe the committee meeting.

Meeting 3 – 11/02/2023

The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on November 2, 2023, to review Social Studies Curriculum for Middle School (Grades 6-8) adoption. 

The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461 from 7:15 AM - 3:00 PM.

The public is welcome to observe the committee meeting.

The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on November 7, 2023, to review Social Studies Curriculum for High School (Grades 9-12) adoption. 

The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461 from 7:15 AM - 3:00 PM.

The Citrus County School District will hold a meeting on November 16, 2023, for publisher presentations and final recommendations for Social Studies Curriculum for Middle School (Grades 6-8) adoption. 

The meeting will be held at the Technology Resource Center, 3741 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, Florida 34461 from 7:15 AM - 3:00 PM.
